Adjectives can be categorized in several ways, including as descriptive (quality), limiting(quantity, number, possession, demonstration), and by their function, such as attributive(before the noun), predicative (after a linking verb), or compound (multiple words). Other types include comparative/superlative, proper, participial, and interrogative adjectives. 

Descriptive and limiting

•Descriptive: These describe the quality or kind of a noun.

◦Example: “She wore a beautiful dress”.

•Limiting: These narrow down or restrict a noun.

◦Quantitative: Show amount or quantity.

▪Example: “He drank little water”.

◦Demonstrative: Point out specific nouns.

▪Example: “This book is mine”.

◦Possessive: Indicate ownership.

▪Example: “My dog is friendly”.

◦Numeral: Specify a number.

▪Example: “I have six apples”.
